Garden Manager

Dermot Melia (Level 8 BSc Horticulture in Landscape and Design)

Dermot Melia is Garden Manager at W39 Services. Dermot has worked on the construction of two gold medal winning gardens at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show. Over the last ten years Dermot has designed, constructed and maintained award winning high end profile gardens throughout the country and abroad. Dermot is a garden designer of note, was a design lecturer at Warrenstown Horticultural College and a Teagasc Horticultural Technician.  

In 2000 Dermot set up the first garden design studio at Warrenstown Horticultural College. Dermot was involved in the construction and planting of Carton House and the K Club golf courses, along with Bray Head, Tulfarris, Sutton, Rathfarnham, Slieve Russell and designed the hotel gardens in Moyvalley Golf Resort and the Glenview Hotel.

Dermot’s achievements include:

Winner of the ALCI Best Private Garden award in 2003                                                  

Winner of the ALCI Best Private Garden award in 2005

Winner of the RDS Flower Show Best Private Garden award in 2005
